In 2019, China’s 47M tertiary education enrollments surpassed those of other countries in the Asian region, a result of its large population and substantial higher education infrastructure. India, with 35.15M enrollments, comes second but still significantly behind Chin. This disparity shows China’s vast educational resources and its leading role in the region's higher education sector.
