Medical specialties vary widely in the expertise and experience they demand from practitioners. Specializations like Pulmonary Disease, Preventive Medicine, and Radiology involve intricate diagnoses, complex treatments, and nuanced patient care, requiring physicians to accumulate extensive experience over many years of practice. Consequently, it is common to find a majority of physicians in these fields to be 55 years of age and older. On the other hand, fields like Physical Medicine, Rehabilitation, and General Practice focus on more general aspects of healthcare delivery, often involving less complex procedures and patient management. These specialties typically require fewer years of training and may attract younger individuals seeking to establish their careers in medicine. As a result, these areas tend to have a higher proportion of younger physicians compared to their counterparts.
