India had the highest number of people not connected to the internet in 2022, with over 650M, more than double China’s 336.4M. This gap is partly due to India's large population and uneven technological development, with many rural areas lacking infrastructure. Despite progress, India’s vast population and digital divide contribute to its high number of unconnected individuals.
