Consumption of drugs used for diabetes in the United Kingdom, 2011-2021 (per 1,000 Inhabitants per Day)

There has been a general increase in the consumption of diabetes drugs in the UK since 2011. Initial consumption rates were stable until 2018, after which a notable dip occurred, which continued until 2020. During this period, consumption rates dropped below 75 per 1,000 inhabitants per day. However, 2021 saw a significant uptick in usage, reaching approximately 90 individuals per 1,000 daily inhabitants.
